Q: Do you touch up all the images in our online gallery?
A: Absolutely. After the shoot I will carefully select the best photos from the session and apply a series of ‘touch ups’ so that the images you see in your gallery will be ready to print and show off to friends and family.
Q: What do you mean by “touching up” the photos?
A: The difference between your everyday photographs and the images you will see in your gallery is what photographers call ‘post production’. Every photographer has their own style of ‘editing’ or ‘touching up’ the photos they take. This involves correcting any colour problems, enhancing lighting, removing blemishes and distractions and applying other selective effects to make your photos ‘pop’. This can also include turning your photos to black and white or sepia depending on your preference.
Interesting fact: This process often takes longer than the shoot itself!
Not all photographers put your photos through this process, they either don’t have the professional software needed to do this or they don’t yet have the knowledge of how to use it properly.
Q: How long until I see the photos?
After your session I will carefully select and individually edit the best images for you. This process takes longer than the shoot itself and times do vary but generally I aim to have your gallery ready for viewing with 14 days.

Q: Any advice on choosing a photographer?
My best advice is to do your research. Choose someone whose photography, and style of editing resonates with you. If you love what you see on their website, then you can always ask to see more of their work and if you like the look and feel of it then you have a good chance of loving yours too. Try not to base your decision on price alone. Photography is an investment and what you are looking for is ‘value for money’ and memories that you will love forever.

Q: What if I don’t like my photos?
This is a very good question to ask before you go ahead and book your photographer. If you have done your research this shouldn’t be an issue but let me put your mind at ease by answering this question.
You will have so many photos to choose from in your gallery, there will be many that you fall in love with. A common response from my clients is ‘I love them all, it’s too hard to choose my favourites!’ BUT in the event you are not happy then I will happily work with you until you are satisfied.

About Your Session
Q: Can we meet before the day of the shoot?
A: Yes of course. I’d love nothing more than to meet with you before the day. It gives us a chance to get the preliminary introductions out of the way, talk about your preferred style of photography and you could even show me examples of what you love. If there are children involved it’s a great opportunity for them to get comfortable around me so on the day of the shoot everyone is relaxed.
Q: Where will the photos be taken? Do you have a studio?
The location of the photo session is up to you. Ideally I prefer to photograph outdoors using natural, available light but some of my favourites sessions have been indoors. Once your photo shoot date is booked we will discuss what type of feel you are looking for in your photographs, we can then work together to come up with the perfect location. Sessions involving babies are almost always held within the comfort of your own home.
Q: Can we bring the extended family?
Yes you can. Why not make an afternoon of it! There is an addition fee of $25 per person for family groups larger than 6.
Q: How long is the shoot?
For most sessions the average time spent on location is between 1 – 2 hours. Deluxe packages or large groups need to allow more time.
Q: What should we wear?
Q: What do we bring?
For family and/or children photo sessions: outfit changes, a drink, favorite toy, special stuffed animal. I have plenty of checklists that I will send you to help you prepare for the upcoming shoot. In the meantime, I wrote a helpful article on this topic. You can read it here.
Q: Do you offer hair and make-up services?
Products & Ordering
Q: Do you offer digital images as well as prints and photography products?
A: Yes I offer both. I have a number of digital options for you to choose from. You can purchase a single image file or a discounted digital package. All photos are delivered to you on a USB and are high resolution, digitally airbrushed, ready for printing. Prints (loose and framed), Books & Products can be ordered as well. All of my packages include digital images and printed products at a discounted rate.
Can my family order photos at a separate time?
Yes, all online galleries are available for sharing with family and friends for a period of 30 days. You can place as many orders as you like within this time.
Q: Is there a minimum spend on products?
A: There is no minimum spend on products after the shoot. You can set your own budget and choose products accordingly.
Q: Are you willing to customise a package if none of yours fits our needs?
Absolutely, just send me an email with your requirements and I will do my best to accommodate you.
Prices & Payment
Q: What are your prices?
A: I have packages to suit almost everyone! Packages start at just $350.
Q: Do you offer packages?
Yes I have variety of packages available. You can choose one of my pre packaged deals or we can tailor make a package to suit your needs.
Q: Do you have payment options?
A: Yes, payment plans are available for selected packages.
Q: Do you offer discounts?
I do offer discounts at random times throughout the year, so keep an eye out on my Facebook page and my blog. Alternatively you can pop your email in the top banner of this site and the I’ll let you know direct.
Q: Are there any additional charges that I need to be aware of?
I have accounted for most things in the package price but there are 3 things outside of usual circumstances that incur a fee:
1: Travel expense: In the event that your location is more than 30 minutes travel of the CBD then there is a $50 travel fee
2: Hire & Entrance expenses: If there is a hire fee or entrance cost associated with your session then this will be charged to you.
3: Groups of more than 6 people incur $25 per person charge.
